The 2009 D.A.R.E Graduation Ceremony was held on Wednesday, October 28 at Augusta Independent School. AIS 5th grade students celebrated their completion of the program which focused on Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education. Ms. Maria Hitt’s class accepted their certificates and awards as families, members of the Augusta Board of Education, and Chief Greg Cummins of the Augusta Police Dept. looked on. These students were proud to complete the program, led by Officer Bob Scott of the Bracken County Sheriff's Department: Haley Bork, Logan Tucker, Amos Smithers, Kelsea Cracraft, Samuel Davis, Christian Nickerson, Renae Jett, Reagan Gibson, Chase McElfresh, Gavin Harding, Brennan Heighton, Cheyenne Sellers, Cheyenne Saunders, McKenna Kiskaden, and Jared Shoemaker. The awards for best D.A.R.E essays were given to Haley Bork and McKenna Kiskaden. Jared Shoemaker received an award for being an Outstanding D.A.R.E Student. The students benefited and enjoyed Officer Bob

Scott's visits and we appreciate his dedication to this wonderful program.
