Student's in Preschool and Kindergarten were excited as once a week; Shannon Smith from the Bracken Extension Office and Lisa Bex, FRYSC Coordinator visited their classroom.

The LEAP program, Literacy, Eating and Activity Program is a 10 week program in which the students are read a story and introduced to a food that was in the story. The student's were encouraged to try 'a hello bite'. The participation was exceptional and the student's were always in anticipation to find out the next week's lesson and snack. An activity/newsletter was provided by the Bracken Co. Extension office for the student's to take home with them.
